The Blueprint Session Description
Following the acknowledgment of the sacred lands on which we stand, we will dive into the Blueprint of Australia’s Landscape, as shown to us by the plant positions, skeleton remains and sedimentary patterns left behind by the MEGA flora and fauna that once travelled over these lands. We can learn so much from the way the planet expresses itself, and then apply that to our own lives in order to strengthen our climate and community.
1: Children have a strong sense of identity – Relating the world to themselves, they will see that they are interconnected with everything around them, and as the layers in the Earth make a difference so do the layers in themselves.
2: Children are connected with and contribute to their world – Children can be inspired by practical expression and then have the opportunity to connect with their planet.
3: Children have a strong sense of wellbeing – Through experiencing awe, wonder, curiosity, experiments and demonstrations, children will develop a strong sense of wellbeing.’
4: Children are confident and involved learners – Empowering their sense of confidence through returning solutions to the forefront of their minds.
5 : Children are effective communicators – Children will be in communication with Marama, the teachers and eachother as we work together with the demonstrations.
