Planting beans is the best way to build confidence in a beginner green thumb, because they grow in almost any soil, all year round, and sprout quickly.

The activity takes about 5 minutes from start to finish .
You will need :
Some green beans, broad beans, butter beans , or berlotti beans etc. ( most beans work all year round)
Some planter pots ( or use the bottom of milk jugs with some holes punched in the bottom)
Some soil ( most soil found in the backyard will work, just make sure it is not contaminated with building materials or poison)
A watering can
Gloves (optional)
And a part shade place to put them while they grow .

Watch the video for a demonstration of just how easy it is! Keep the soil moist, and within days you will have something growing! Stay tuned for updates on my plants.
